“Oblivate” part 1
Here’s a tiny, ambiguous, Dramione fic that I’m in the process of writing if anyone’s interested. I apologize for any grammatical errors/typos. I haven’t really proofread it…at all.
Disclaimer: I know only this idea which has resulted from scenes, characters and events written by the fantastic JK Rowling and has been brought to life on the big screen by Warner Bros. I wish that this was a little more canon, but sadly it is not. And I would love it if I had some monetary gain out of this, but I do not.
It doesn’t take much to form a memory- a passing glance, a glimmer of color, a resonating sound or an elusive fragrance. There are so many memories that are created in our lifetime. Numerous in a single day yet the tragedy is taht we hardly know or realize it.
There was one memory that stood out clear to her. She was young, no older than six or seven and she went to a fair with her dad. That was before destiny intervened. Back when her life was still a cobblestone pathway rather than a rickety, wooden bridge heading for an unknown destination. Her hair was cut short giving her a lively, youthful appearance. The wind tossed her dark wispy strands in front of her face every now and then. Despite the slight breeze, the air was warm and sticky and there were noises everywhere. From the boisterous laughter of strangers and the exaggerated sound effects emanating from the amusement games, there was an apparent tone of frivolity in the air.
He stood there anticipating his next move. Never before had he been so frightened and so incredibly determined simultaneously. Yes, he was perplexed about his decisions and what lay ahead, but he knew his options were limited and he had to act soon. In the past, it was all about pride, honor, and duty. Never do what felt right, always do what he was told was right. Naively, he followed the path laid out before him. Then, everything changed. He discovered that the truths he once believed were in fact facades. Previously, it all made an impenetrable wall and now, the wall was crumbling down as each truth was revealed piece by piece. He thought back to those days- how simple everything was and how he desired to be there again. So what if it was wrong and so what if it had dire consequences? To go back again would be like a rebirth. A new beginning from all of life’s chaos. Atleast he’d have some semblance of sanity once more. He wouldn’t feel the betrayal, the anger, the frustration that he was feeling currently. Soon enough, he’d be free. No longer would he be tortured by the incidents of the past and haunted by demons with his every thought. Finally, he would obtain his closure.
So what do you think? Should I post the next part? Do you hate it and should I never write anything again? Are you so confused and irritated that I have ruined all of fanfiction for you? Or are you vaguely, the slightest bit interested? Please let me know.
